My trip to the hospital was great. I know that may sound odd but all was great. I went in and got my x-ray, it hen headed down to the main operating area. Told them who I was and they had a bed waiting for me. Dr. Kim and a few others came by for some questions to make sure I know all that was going to be going on. Then it was off to the Operating Room. I took my camera also so I got a few photos to share. They will be posted later.

The day after I see no signs of any thing abnormal.

Lipotripsy

Lipotripsy is what they call it. This Monday I go in for Lipotripsy
where they will blast the only stone I have with sound to break up the
stone so I can just pee it out! They say it will not be painful
either!

So far I have been doing well and looking forward to is next procedure.

Doctor's. Office Visit - Pulling My Strings

Well, it is already 14:15 and no Dr Kim. I have already peed in the cup and it did not look clear like it has been before coming here. It was clear this morning.

14:30 Doc Kim came in a showed me the photos taken inside of me before and after. I even saw the stone that came out. Then, I dropped my pants and layed down on the table. With out any thing given to me for any pain, he just pulled the strings and out came the stent (tubes), Green with brown strips on it (it looked like a pair of snakes come out). The sting came out and then 1 stent, and two stent together. I could feel them coming out, but there was no pain at all to it. It shocked me how easy they came out!

The probe that they used to do the procedure with is 1.2mm in diameter.

Labor Day

okay, so far I have been doing good. Friday I tried getting out of the house and drive to my place, about 45 minutes on FM-1960 traffic, I guess I hit the weekend holiday traffic that afternoon. I got there with a little pain and got back to Jean's with about the same level of pain. I think it may have been due to the tight blue jeans I had on. My activities increased starting with Friday, maybe getting too restless, Saturday, I did some activities, but never lifting any thing heavy, had not pains to say other then when I pee. Sunday, again, no real pains other then when I pee, but the pain is getting less.

For a while when I pee, I was getting the chills that would last for about 5 minutes. I guess it was due to the level of pain I had when I pee. Starting to pee was painful and I had to close my eyes to get past that point. Once peeing, it was okay. Ending was also painful again. And the color, dark orange just makes me wonder if there is any blood in there. Now being Monday, the pain of peeing, is very small, oh how nice that is. I am drinking every chance I can, in order to keep up with the peeing and trying to keep my system flushed out. After breakfast today, I was so full, but it was because I drank so much water before and during the meal.

From time to time, I did have a little blood just as I was ending my pee, but that was just a drop or two a the most. Not much, but has me worried a little because of it. But, since then, today really I have not seen any fresh blood. I did see some old blood clump today for the
first time.

I can feel the string for the stents in me and while it is not hurting me, it does not feel all that good. I know it is the string, cause I can feel it as I tug on it a little. It is a weird feeling.

Tomorrow will be the last day for the Phenazopyridine at 200 mg (Pyridium) pill that makes my urine that dark orange color. It looks like it would stain if it got on to anything, and it looks like it is staining the toilet a little.

Other other pill, Bactrim, I still have a supply to last 4 or 5 more days more, and I am not sure, but I should have been even less then I am, but I cannot recall missing any times.

I have taken limited number of the Vicodin pill, mostly taken at night time.

What a hack of a way to spend a nice 3 day Labor Day weekend.

2nd Day Status

Well it is now on the second after my operation or procedure as they call it. I am doing okay, no in as much pain when I have to pee. Been laying around wanting to do more then just lay around, but if I move too much, I begins to feel pain inside of me, I think it is between the bladder and the kidney.

The Day After

I have been up all night long, and about every 45-60 minutes I have to go pee, and when I do, it is just a little. my urine still has blood in this this morning as of 8:30 AM and the pain when I pee is stil there. The pain is not as bad as it was the first time, but still it is painful.

I think I have air in my bladder and it is making me feel like I really got to pee bad when all I need is a little pee.

I have 3 groups of medicin to take. They are:
Phenazopyridine at 200 mg (Pyridium) 3 times aday, 8AM 4 PM, 12PM
Hydrocodone/APAP 5/500 (Vicodin) Tab 1-2 tablet every 4-6 hours as needed.
Sulfamethoxazole (Bactrim) DS 2 times aday, 8 AM and 8 PM

After the operation

Okay, I made it.I am in pain right now, more then I would like to be But I will live. I am at my sister's right now who is taking care of me.

Having nothing to eat since last night was driving me nuts. My tummy is just growling at me to no end!. Just had some rice pudding. Boy was that good.

Taken my medicineand hope to feel better Soon. I am very tired.

During the operation, I past a stone. So I am one less stone to worry about.
