My Hummer Outings

Most of my outing have been now at Fort Hood Military base and in the past it was Spring Creek, up on the north side of Houston. Since then, the local law enforcement end the Creek for us. It was so nice since it was so local to us. Then it was Fort Hood is about 230 miles from Houston, killer place to have a lot of fun and well worth the trip, but that too came to an end. From what we are told, the environmentalist had to do a study to see what effect the 4x4 where doing to the wild life at the base. And so they managed to have the civilians band from four wheeling in the area, personally, I feel it was the hunters who found a way of keeping us out. They still have the tanks and Huvee training where we once played.

Now, I just don't seem to go any where now, just too busy with too many other things. On the odd occasions I run the streets (see www.floodsofhouston.com) when we are having a floods or maybe pulling some one out of the mud or creek, mostly just minor stuff. Maybe it is just a sign of getting older that I am not out playing in the mud any more.

Note: Some of the older links have corrupted photos, but I didn't want to delete them because it was all that I had of them. They where damaged due to a bad Cobalt back up file that I learned not to trust any more.
